Important Message Regarding Your 2025 Dues

Your 2025 NOMAR Dues have been invoiced. Dues become delinquent after November 30, 2024.  

If you are going inactive, please advise us in writing; we cannot terminate membership nor refund MLS fees without written notification.  MLS User Fees are NON-refundable except if an agent does not renew their license or elects to go into a referral company for 2025.  Notification of this status change must be sent to [email protected].  A written request for a refund of MLS User Fees for the second half of the fiscal year must accompany this notification and must be received by [email protected] no later than January 16, 2025.  To refund MLS fees, your license must be updated at LREC and a refund request in writing must be received no later than January 16, 2025.  MLS fee refunds are only issued the week after January 16th and cannot be issued after this date.  A $25 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds.  Refund requests should be emailed to [email protected].

Review of Fees

Please note that all dues deadlines must be met.

  • The annual association dues invoices were sent to the membership on October 1, 2024, with a due date of November 30, 2024, in the amount of $603.00. Any invoices not paid by November 30, 2024, will be assessed a delinquent fee of $75.00 on December 1, 2024. Failure to remit dues payment by January 2, 2025, will result in suspension of membership. Payment should be paid to NOMAR.
  • Annual dues amounts are determined by the Board of Directors of each organization and billed according to the bylaws of each organization. NOMAR dues are billed annually on October 1stand due by November 30th, with a delinquent date of December 1st.

Dues Non-Deductibility for 2024 tax year

Compliance with the Tax Reform Act of 1993, as amended by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, requires that the portion of dues attributable to lobbying and political activities at the State and Federal levels of government be considered nondeductible for income tax purposes.  As a 501(c)(6) organization, the Louisiana REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® engage in “lobbying” activities as defined by the IRS.  In addition, contributions (including member dues) are not tax deductible as charitable contributions.  However, they may be tax deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.  The 2025 non-deductible percentage of member dues for the Louisiana REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® is as follows:

This amount of dues cannot be deducted by REALTOR® members for tax purposes.
