The Louisiana REALTORS® Political Action Committee is our voice in the political arena.The NOMAR Government Affairs Department maintains a full-time professional staff to aggressively ensure that the voices of REALTORS® are heard and their interests protected. Our primary function is to monitor legislation throughout ten parishes including: Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington.
By maintaining relationships with government officials in every parish within the New Orleans Metropolitan area, we secure the opportunity to promote legislation that is helpful or oppose legislation that is harmful to the real estate industry.
As a department, we also work to ensure that the REALTOR® image is positive and consistent. Our close partnerships with the Louisiana REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® ensure that NOMAR has access to special programs, toolkits, and grants that enable members’ strong and positive images in the communities they serve.
