The Deal at Freret & Napoleon Ave
The project at hand, a land sale, represents significant economic development for Uptown New Orleans, bringing an affordable specialty grocery with fresh food to a walkable, transit-accessible location. Early played a crucial role in navigating complex approval processes, including securing a conditional use permit for a grocery over 10,000 square feet selling packaged alcohol in a Historic Urban Neighborhood. Despite initial rejection by the Historic District Landmarks Commission, developers eventually succeeded in obtaining unanimous zoning approval to develop a historic space. The project was led by a notable local developer who works closely with communities to reimagine existing spaces. This development is part of a larger expansion in New Orleans and successfully balances historical preservation concerns with community needs for accessible, affordable fresh food options.

The Deal in Chalmette
Adding to the challenge was the property's locale: an area of metro New Orleans that has seen devastation from hurricanes and can struggle to attract investment. Despite these obstacles, the agents at the heart of the deal were able to close. This deal promises to help grow the local community and is a testament to the expertise and negotiating prowess of NOMAR CID members.

The Deal at the Mall of Louisiana
The conversion of this 111,000-square-foot, two-story retail space is notable, since these properties are notoriously difficult to backfill, often remaining vacant for years due to their sheer size and the decline of traditional department store anchors. By transforming a struggling asset into a dynamic destination, this deal demonstrates how commercial REALTORS® are shaping the future of retail.
