Early bird registration opens for the region’s premier industry event

NEW ORLEANS (August 1, 2024) – The Commercial Investment Division of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® (NOMAR) is proud to announce that the 14th Annual Economic and Real Estate Forecast Symposium will return Thursday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center (6400 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA).

Presented by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust, the Forecast is a unique forum that brings together experts in residential and commercial real estate, finance and banking, government and academia from across Louisiana. This year’s theme, “New Orleans: Growth, Stabilization, or Disruption?” spotlights the Crescent City’s most substantial residential and commercial real estate challenges and explores ambitious opportunities for growth and development. Individual early bird registration is available for $60 half day, and $70 full day through September 1.

“The New Orleans real estate market is unique, complex and fascinating. While we’re met with great challenges, we’re also on the verge of incredible opportunity,” said Mignon Richard Díaz, conference Chairwoman. “Our carefully curated program gives us an opportunity to pause and place a magnifying glass to local and regional market conditions. The information we share here impacts professionals across a wide range of industries, and not just the real estate community.”

This year’s Forecast speakers include many of the brightest minds in economic development and real estate from across the state, including Tim Temple, Louisiana’s Commissioner of Insurance, Jay Cicero, President and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Jessica Lautz, Deputy Chief Economist and Vice President of Research at the National Association of REALTORS®.

“Considering our history, culture and resilience, New Orleans has arguably one of the most unique economic climates in the country. It’s been an honor for Gulf Coast Bank & Trust to serve as the symposium’s presenting sponsor for seven years,” said President and CEO of Gulf Coast Bank & Trust, Guy Williams. “The Forecast symposium is a unique experience to understand the market from members of our industry who are working on the cutting edge of growth.”

In addition to Gulf Coast Bank & Trust, Forecast sponsors include Crescent Title, HomeBank, Colliers International, CoStar, and Roof Squad, to name a few. The program begins with registration at 8 a.m., followed by four sessions providing key insights into this year’s theme of growth, stabilization, or disruption in real estate and the economy of New Orleans. Tickets include continential breakfast, lunch and a cocktail reception at 4 p.m.  The program is currently pending approval by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission for six hours of continuing education credit.
