●    The real estate agent will be familiar with the roofing areas where homeowners can potentially gain the lesser wind mitigation discounts on their property insurance policies.

●    The real estate agent will identify the 3 designations of Fortified housing.

●    The real estate agent will identify how a sealed roof can better protect the interior of a home that incurs shingle loss.

●    The real estate agent will identify which openings of a home must be Fortified to gain the Fortified Silver designation.

●    The real estate agent will determine whether a Fortified home certificate is transferable to a home buyer.

●    The real estate agent will identify the websites where a Louisiana homeowner or buyer can stay apprised of changes to the Fortified program or new grant opportunities associated with the program.
