Celebrating over a century of serving the Greater New Orleans real estate community, 2025 was a landmark year for NOMAR. Guided by our “Come Together ’25” theme, we made meaningful strides across every pillar of our strategic plan — strengthening advocacy, deepening community ties, expanding education, elevating the member experience, and developing tomorrow’s leaders. Here’s a look at what we accomplished together.

Advocate
We strive to be the leading public policy voice for REALTORS®, consumers, and property owners in the metro region; we hit new heights in 2025. Our NOMPAT fundraiser, the Boil Battle, was the highest-grossing in several years, raising over $11,000 to support political advocacy on behalf of the real estate industry. We also broke new ground by forming a three-association partnership with the Home Builders Association and the Apartment Association of Greater New Orleans to co-host a Mayoral Candidate Townhall Forum — putting our members at the center of the civic conversation.

Connect
Community investment remained a cornerstone of our work. NOMAR partnered with Habitat for Humanity, Volunteers of America, and Second Harvest Food Bank to create cross-organizational support for Metro New Orleans families. We also strengthened REALTORS®’ visibility as subject matter experts by working with local media outlets including CityBusiness, nola.com/Times-Picayune, Biz New Orleans, Housing Matters, and FOX 8, as well as educational institutions like the University of New Orleans and economic development organizations like JEDCO. These relationships continue to position our members as trusted voices in the local real estate landscape.

Elevate
As the go-to resource for real estate education in South Louisiana, NOMAR delivered high-caliber, market-driven training that empowers members to better serve their clients and grow their businesses. We launched the Mastermind series — a lineup of supplementary education seminars designed to foster best practices and peer-to-peer dialogue among brokers and agents. Members also had access to specialized designation courses, including AHWD and SRS, covering a broad spectrum of business specialties.

Delight
Providing concierge-level service is central to the NOMAR experience, and 2025 brought fresh ways to deliver on that promise. The new Beer with a Peer Happy Hour series created relaxed, social opportunities for REALTORS® and affiliates to connect across the metro area. Behind the scenes, we cultivated a positive, constructive culture and strengthened collaboration between staff and the Board of Directors. We also implemented a standardized post-event survey to capture member feedback and used those insights to build a roster of event volunteers — making our programming stronger and more responsive.

Lead
Governance and leadership development are the foundation of a thriving association. NOMAR continued its popular Broker Breakfast series and delivered in-house Professional Standards trainings to keep members informed and accountable. Perhaps most exciting, we launched the NOMAR Leadership Academy, creating a clear pathway for members to step into leadership roles within the organization. We’re already seeing results — Leadership Academy graduates are now serving on the Board of Directors.

Looking Ahead
Every milestone on this list represents the collective effort of our members, volunteers, staff, and partners. As we move forward, we remain committed to advocating fiercely, connecting authentically, elevating constantly, delighting consistently, and leading with purpose. Here’s to building on this momentum together.
