Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in New Orleans and throughout the region, the CID Board of Directors has decided to move the Election & Holiday Social from an in-person event to a virtual event. Like many of you, we are anxious to return to “normal,” but not at the expense of member safety. Your well-being is our primary concern.

Taxes can impact you on a personal and professional level. This course will teach you some of the best strategies to reduce your tax burden while also offering insights on tax issues facing your potential clients. At the conclusion of this course, the student will understand Property Taxes and their impact on property pricing and valuation as well as be able to distinguish between assessments and mileages. The student will also understand estate tax rules and its effect on the real estate transaction, what goes into the assessment, and have an overview of the 1031 Exchanges.
