Northshore Bras for a Cause

Join the St. Tammany network of the Women's Council of REALTORS® for their seventh annual Bras for a Cause event on October 12 at 6 p.m.! This event is $50 in advance or $60 at the door, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer care through the Slidell Memorial Hospital Foundation and the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation. 

There will also be a ticket raffle at the event for two club level seats as the Saints take on the Redskins on November 19! This prize includes a one-night hotel stay and $1,000 cash!

Hurricane Safety Tip
We are in peak hurricane season, and it is imperative that all members and their clients prepare in case of emergency. 
You should make a list of licenses repairmen in case your property or listings sustain damage. Having this list prior to sustaining damage can help speed up the repair process.

Broker Mandatory Update from LREC

For those broker licensees who do not complete "2017 Broker Mandatory - Broker Responsibility," the LREC will impose a fine of $325 in addition to requiring 30 hours of broker prelicensing training. This will not stop license renewal.

LREC is working on posting available broker mandatory offerings on their website for the remainder of 2017.

Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) Core Course Offering

The overall goals of the ABR® Designation Core Course are to:

• Prepare real estate professionals to thoroughly represent buyer-clients in real estate transactions and provide the quality of service and degree of fidelity to buyers that sellers have customarily enjoyed.
• Offer ideas and methods for building a buyer-representation business.
• Develop a self-customized tool for conducting a buyer counseling session.

To earn the ABR, you must take the 2 day course along with 1 elective. In Louisiana, you also earn 2 GRI designation credits and 8 hours of CE credit. This course is being offered September 12 - 13, 2017.
