Annual Agent MLS Dues – Only FOUR Days Left to Pay
Current dues billed are for the period July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017; dues are $340. NOMAR members receive a $20 discount due to services extended to GSREIN members that are funded from NOMAR dues, such as Professional Standards and support staff.
Please note: Dues are due by June 30 and are considered delinquent on July 1. After June 30 there is a $75 late fee that must be sent in with payment. On July 1, the user's MLS services will be suspended for nonpayment. Click here to pay your dues online with a check or credit card.
If a check is post marked on June 30, there will be no repercussions. However, at midnight on July 1, there will be an immediate $75 late fee and ALL MLS access will be suspended.
Note: Agents pay Annual MLS Dues and Brokers pay Quarterly MLS Dues.
Only FOUR DAYS LEFT to Exchange Your Keys and Lockboxes!
All Active Key & Lockbox exchanges will now be by appointment only.
Please realize that there are only two staff members in each office to assist you, so it may take days for you to get an appointment.
To book your appointment now: please call either the Metairie office at 504-885-3200 or the Mandeville office at 985-882-8521
Due to the large number of people making appointments, if you have to re-schedule an existing appointment there will be a $25 rescheduling fee. This has become necessary to ensure everyone who needs an appointment gets in as quickly as possible.
Our goal is to make this transition as easy as possible for our members so please make your appointment.
Attention REALTORS® with listings in Mandeville:
NOMAR received a letter from the City regarding violations of the sign ordinance, specifically regarding ‘for lease’ signs in non-residential and combined-use zoning districts. Please review this letter for specific guidelines on allowed use of signage. If you have any questions, contact NOMAR Governmental Affairs or City of Mandeville Department of Development/Planning at (985) 898-2700.

IDX/RETS/VOW Renewal Billed on July 1
What is the difference between IDX, RETS & VOW access?
An Internet Data Exchange (IDX, also known as Information Data Exchange) is a real estate property search site which allows the public to conduct searches of approved Multiple Listing Service properties in a certain area. (Uses company websites)
Real Estate Transaction Standards (RETS) is used to give brokers, agents and third parties access to listing and transaction data. (For office management and syndication)
Virtual Office Website (VOW) is a website that is used to conduct business activities. One example is a VOW used as a real estate property search site allowing the public to conduct searches of approved Multiple Listing Service properties in a given area under certain conditions.

REALTOR® Call For Action
We need your help to tell the United States Senate to get to work and make homeownership a priority!
Urge your Senators to pass H.R. 3700, the "Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016," a bill that makes needed reforms to the Federal Housing Administration condominium loan program, federal-assisted housing programs and Rural Housing Service loan programs.
This bill makes buying a condo A LOT easier by expanding opportunities for first-time homebuyers and streamlining rural housing programs for low-income rental residents. Condominiums are among the most affordable homeownership options for first-time homebuyers, as well as lower income borrowers.
The House of Representatives passed this bill unanimously with a bipartisan vote of 427-0 and now we need the Senate to act!

NOMAR Partnership with NOPD for a Safer New Orleans
NOMAR is challenging all REALTORS® to join us in our efforts to install 100 cameras for a safer New Orleans! NOMAR's $15,000 grant (in conjunction with NAR) to the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation purchased the first 34 cameras. Thanks to a $10,000 contribution from Latter & Blum and the donations of many other REALTOR® members, NOPJF was able to purchase 26 more cameras. We are now only 40 cameras away from reaching our 100 camera goal!
Don't forget, Latter & Blum is offering a dollar-for-dollar match to the United Way for each dollar donated by REALTORS® to the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation. Donations will be matched up to $15,000 in a donation to United Way to support their social service efforts to stop crime before it starts.
