Women's Council of REALTORS® Habitat for Humanity Build

 

The Women's Council of REALTORS – New Orleans Metropolitan Chapter is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to participate in the Women's Build 2017. They need to raise $5,000 to help build a house for Monica Grandpre, and need YOUR help. Monica is a single mother who dreams of becoming a homeowner.

Vote YES on December 10 for Sales Tax & Millage Renewals in Jefferson Parish

NOMAR supports the renewal of the millage and sales taxes for Jefferson Parish drainage & recreation, as well as the millage renewal for Jefferson Parish Public Schools. The millage and sales tax renewals are not new taxes and, if passed, would not change existing the property or sales taxes for anyone in Jefferson Parish. Second Annual Doggie Adoption Day

Come out to NOMAR's Metairie Office THIS FRIDAY, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and help a dog find their forever home. All dogs are rescues from the August floods across the state and are currently being housed at Zeus' Rescues. 
 
This is a great opportunity to get back in touch with former clients and help a great cause! If you cannot adopt a dog, there will be $5 plate lunches available for purchase, as well as a parade of prizes and a beanbag toss game! 

 

 

 

Army Corps of Engineers Construction Updates

 

The Army Corps is currently constructing the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA) in Orleans and Jefferson parishes. This work includes construction of large underground box culverts that will work to get rain water off the streets faster and into the box culverts.
