New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS (NOMAR), the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of NOMAR, and the Louisiana Chapter of CCIM will host the 6th Annual Economic & Real Estate Forecast on Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a reception from 5 - 7 p.m. at Loyola University. This year’s theme is “Engines for Growth.”
The Annual Economic & Real Estate Forecast continues to attract large audiences because of the quality and reputation of the speakers, a distinguished group of experts in real estate, finance, government and academia, who evaluate and discuss real estate and the financial markets. Many of the best business minds and decision-makers in Louisiana will examine how the political and economic environment will impact real estate and business today and share their expert views on what lies ahead, providing the information and the perspective needed to have the competitive edge to prosper in our changing times.
One of the highlights of the event will be the networking reception where the speakers and attendees will socialize and enjoy complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

September is REALTOR® Safety Month!
We are excited to announce our partnership with Mushin Training Center in Harahan! Mushin is a mixed-martial arts and self-defense gym that have created a specialized self-defense seminar specifically for REALTORS®. This seminar will be on Thursday, September 15 at 11 a.m. at their location in Harahan. The self-defense class will be limited to 100 participants. At just $25 per person (paid at the door), this seminar is sure to fill up, so make sure you register today!
Finally, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office has created a three-part self-defense course called "Lady Beware," which is open to both genders and begins on Saturday, September 24 at 8 a.m. Click here to register. Volunteers are urgently needed at the Livingston Parish Animal Shelter, located at 1352 Florida Blvd. in Denham Springs! There are currently over 150 animals with only one veterinarian and two volunteers helping them. The shelter is in primary need of volunteers or monetary donations.
